4-BED HOUSE MODERNIZE

Renovation phase 1 - Main Floor

Built in the 1980’s, this 2 storey, 4-bedroom house needed a whole house renovation.  The massive interior bearing wall sitting in the center of the main floor needed to be removed to improve circulation and functionality of the space. The structural wall supporting the upper floor was replaced with a long- span beam and a column. The design solution involved combining the required support structure and newly added double sided fireplace at a central location visible from all spaces. Finally, the kitchen, dining and living rooms were connected as one functional space and a smooth circulation flow was created.
